The Listening Program by Advanced Brain Technologies
Two Ears - One Mouth
Did your mother ever tell you that you have two ears and one mouth for a reason? Yep, a lot of moms say this...because it's true. There is more to communication than A,B,C's, grammar and reading. The foundation for language is listening. And just because a person can hear does not mean the brain is effectively processing sound.
From Hearing to Listening to Communicating
After implementing a gluten-free, casein-free diet for my son, we started to have actual conversations. It became clear that a large portion of what I said was misunderstood. Although his hearing was fine, the brain's processing of what he heard was impaired.
At the time, the only option available to me was to pack up the family and travel to Paul Madaule's Listening Centre in Toronto, Canada.
This therapy was terrific and there were significant changes. But the program was difficult in terms of time and direct intensity on the body. The need to travel, rent an apartment, ship equipment to and fro and have boosts periodically to retain the positive effects made it financially and logistically stressful for my family.
That's why I was so excited to learn about Advanced Brain Technologies "The Listening Program" or TLP. And why I want to share them with you.
The Listening Program is a clinically-proven approach that gently trains the auditory system to accurately process sound. In other words, it helps your child to not only hear but to listen, which will allow them to communicate.
What This Means for Your Child
Distorted auditory perception leads to academic, emotional, cognitive and social challenges. In other words, your child may experience problems with:
- Attention and concentration
- Speech and language
- Social skills
- Sensory integration
- Self regulation
- Physical balance and coordination
- Vocal performance and musical ability
The Listening Program can make a significant difference in improving brain health and expanding your child's abilities.
I became a Certified TLP Provider because I saw the significant improvements my own son made with The Listening Program. And now with these easy-to-use, cost effective, and portable methods you can bring about lasting change in your child, too.
The Listening Program
This is available pre-loaded on an iPod nano or as a 10-CD set. The powerful and grounding Waves bone conduction is optional and provides benefits over normal headphones (air conduction only.) The psychoacoustically modified classical music builds on Dr. Tomatis' key principles. And you own it. You can do it at your convenience, in your home, as many times as your child needs it.
And once your child no longer needs it, he will still keep asking for it because he wants it!
The Listening Program easily fits into any family's lifestyle. It requires only 15-30 minutes each day. And it is so much more affordable than in-clinic programs.
How it Works
TLP is designed with A-B-C modules, with A and C being a warm-up and cool-down and B being the exercise phase. Just as a fitness trainer would advise you to workout your muscles, so as to not stress them. TLP applies this gentle listening workout to train sensory processing, attention, auditory processing, speech and language, memory, and even increase creativity.
A Solution Tailored to Your Child's Needs
I have used TLP and other Advanced Brain Technologies programs with my own family. That's why I became a Certified Provider. I know they work.
Equipment is included as well as 1 hour of program set-up and consultation and guidance during the program. This isn't just a "box of stuff". It's a foundation program and together we will customize it to best meet your child's needs. I work with you to ensure your child reaches the maximum possible results.
